Service Fees

The fees for service are established with your service provider at the first session. Our professional fees are based on the fee schedule provided by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.

We bill based on a “clinical hour” (i.e., 50 minutes for direct service and 10 minutes for making notes, contacting collateral sources, etc.).

Payment for services is due at the time of service. We accept payment by cash, electronic transfer, credit card and cheques. We do not accept debit at this time.

Most extended health care plans do cover all or some of the cost of services provided by a Registered Psychologist or Registered Social Worker.

We are approved providers through First Nations, Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) and other designated First Nation Health Providers.

We are approved providers through Veterans’ Affairs.

Individual psychological services are exempt from GST. In Alberta, under the Income Tax Act, the services of a Registered Psychologist may be claimed as a medical expense. 

Employee Assistance Programs or extended health care plans may cover part or all of the cost. It is the client’s responsibility to check into his/her insurance plan to gather information on coverage.  While you are responsible for the fee at the time of the session, we provide an official receipt, which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy
Appointments can be changed or cancelled with 24 hours advance notice.  If we are unable to schedule around a cancellation made outside this policy, an invoice will be issued for the missed session.

We are located in Strathearn, a quiet residential area close to downtown and Bonnie Doon Shopping Mall. Free parking is available.
